Five years after the war, the world belongs to mutant gangs and whatever’s left of the law. Winter follows a lone gunfighter into Lost Angels, a lawless town ruled by the Gang of Twelve, where a record-keeping drifter named Moses is digging into the murder of a family in the hills. It’s a revenge story with a twist, set in the ashes of a country that fought a war and lost.

I came up with the story for WINTER many years ago and it percolated in my brain ever since. I met artist Clint Hilinski on my first comicbook (a one-shot for American Mythology), and knew I wanted to work with him again. WINTER is the book he wanted to do, and he got right to work crushing the preview pages below. I love revenge stories, they fuel my inner rage, and WINTER let me build a fun, brutal world around one.
